Mental Disease
Mental disease affects a significant number of people. Most mental disorders can be treated by medicine and psychotherapy.
Mental disease, more acceptably called mental disorder or mental illness, refers to the psychological or physiological state of a person with an emotional of behavioral problem that is not considered to be part of normal development or culture.
Although much has been learned about mental disorders there are stigma and discrimination is still very common causing many who suffer from the problem to hide instead of seeking professional help.
